Everyone longs for a quick getaway from home even just for a few moments to perhaps enjoy an entertaining movie, have dinner outside with loved ones or friends, or have a drink of coffee with only yourself for company. More often than not, however, one of the things that can keep one from venturing out is the thoughts of going through the hustle and bustle of a crowded mall. Thankfully, Commercenter Alabang offers a place just like that. It’s a place for “#JustUs.”
After having lunch at Butamaru that day and while waiting for dinner at Tus’ Clay Pots and Skillets, we visited Commercenter Alabang to watch a movie and stroll around to pass time. 🙂

Here are five things to love about this lifestyle center in the South:
5 Things to Love About Commercenter Alabang

This is the newest place for a Dolby Digital 7.1 and 3D movie experience!
Inside the cinemas, we found highly comfortable seats, adjustable arm chairs, and wide legroom. Seats are easy to locate with the bold numbers on them and numbers lit at the side by the aisles. Food and drinks are allowed. Each of the four cinemas can accommodate 100-130 people.
5. Great hangout place overall
If you are having a staycation in any hotel in Alabang or just food-tripping like us, Commercenter Alabang is a great hangout place to consider as it has everything for dads, moms, kids, friends (barkada), and couples stationed in one building. It is located at Commerce Avenue corner East Asia Drive, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. This is my new favorite place in Alabang. 🙂 More stores are opening soon! ATC is near our place but we seldom go there Why? The place is good but parang pang-social lang. Mas type namin yung pang-masa just like Festival Mall and Metropolis.
Haha I like both kinds of places. It was my first time to visit Commercenter Alabang and I like it because it’s quiet and less crowded–very different from what I am used to experience every day here in Manila. 🙂
oh my !!!! alam na where to go for a movie when in alabang. The place is so chill that my fam would love hanging out there… less crowded din kasi hahahahaha ow my talagang may picture ko pa hahahahaha … see you soon dear… and I hope you have a blessed weekend.
Yeah haha! I really love the first reason–less crowded. It was like watching a movie in my private theater since we were only about less than 20 people that time. 😛 Have a blessed weekend and Happy Easter!
Looks like you had a ton of fun, I have to admit I have never heard of this place before but it looks great!
This is a place you should visit if ever you find yourself in Alabang.
It has been a while since I last visited Alabang. I would surely check this place out if I happen to end up there. 😉
Yup, this is a good destination of choice after grocery shopping at the nearby S&R or after having a meal at any restaurant in Westgate Center in Alabang. 🙂
I’ve been there before. If I remember correctly, the place was still under construction when I went there. Only half of the stores were open. Good to know that it’s a great alternative to the usual crowded malls especially when I want to watch a movie in peace.
Well, there are still quite a number of restaurants and store that are yet to open. So watch out for more excitement to come! I am especially thrilled to try out those dining establishments since I cannot find most of them near home.
I love shopping center with a gym. Doing sports, having a coffee and go shopping all at one place is so convenient. It’s good that it’s not so crowded.
Another good thing is that you don’t have to pay a lot for car parking. If I remember correctly, it was just PhP 20! 🙂
Not local to me so unfortunately I can’t go visit 😉 It looks like a fantastic place to check out. I love the fact that it has a gym, cinema, everything you would need, and less busy is always a number 1 priority!
Yeah, I think local residents and occasional tourists would be their target market. This is a great place to relax and chill if you’re stressed out from the usual noise in the city! 🙂
Commercenter Alabang looks like a fantastic place to hang out. I love the fact that it has a gym, cinema and all under one roof. Not to mention it is less busy. It would be a great destination for girls night out or a date night.
This is the place to be when you want some privacy with a date. Yeah, I can already imagine how I can spend hours here–watch a movie, attend one yoga class, and dine out with friends! 🙂
Commercenter Alabang sounds like built for people who love less crowded shopping malls. The cinema itself is great because they limited it to just a hundred seats!
Yeah. This is one for those who love to shop but for those who appreciates quietness and privacy when dining, walking around, and watching movies. 😉
I want to go there! It has all the things I love to do, what more could one ask for besides, food, gym & movies? That has to be the life. I haven’t gone out and actually watched a movie in a theater for like over a year. Then again all the fun stuff like these places are 30 minutes to a hour away, I live in the middle of no where. Being able to visit all these food places, that’s what i would be doing, then hitting the gym afterwards!
There’s also a Commercenter in BGC. It’s also a fun place to visit.
Oh wow! I love the place! I definitely love less crowded places like this. It’s definitely a great place to hangout with friends and family. The movie house looks great! My favorite part has got to be the fitness center.
It’s a more affordable place to “hide” from summer crowds. 😛
Funily I join a quite similar gym in Mauritius.
This reminds me to take advantage of my gym membership and maximize the use of the facilities while I can. 🙂
Now that is my kind of shopping center! I am not a big fan of crowded malls or cramped movie theaters, this sounds like the perfect place to spend an entire Saturday (if I could get someone to watch my kids!). Too bad this isn’t closer to where I live, I think people would go crazy here for something like this.
I wish that this place is also nearer to home. I love to think that I have an intimate space that’s like an extension of my house. 🙂
This place looks amazing perfect to gang out with friends and family.i love the cinemas and fitness centers presence. absolutely awesome.
When you need a break from the noise in the city, plan to visit Commercenter for a nice retreat with friends and family. 🙂
I am not one for working out while on vacation. Yeah, I know, I’m not so healthy either. Hubby and I are more into finding great places to eat when we are traveling. My choices if we ever get to visit Commercenter Alabang would be the Cocohut Fried Chicken and Fish and Chubby’s Ribshack. My hubby’s choices would be Buffalo’s Wings ‘N Things and Elbert’s Cheesesteak.
Those are nice dining options. I would love to try them too, one at a time. 🙂
Looks like a very well-rounded place. Love that there’s a Fitness and Development Center here.
Yup, this is the ideal place for health and fitness buff. 😛
What holds me long upon reading this post is the state-of-the-art cinema. I have gone to various mall especially SM. I am so curious on how this cinema differs from the other cinema in the mall I mentioned. The sound, the seat, and everything an ideal cinema should have.
The highly comfy seats and the great sound system are definitely pluses. You should try watching a movie here at least once! 🙂
They have a newbie trail area in Filinvest. It’s great to see a new commercial center in Alabang, which has a less congested city look than the Metro.
Ohh you can invite your trailmates to relax here a bit before going home. 🙂
Another new place to come and visit with, a new place to try!
I stayed in Vivere Alabang last year and I hope this is just near. If yes, well I think it’s time to schedule another visit in Alabang!
Yup, it’s just near. Wala pang 20 minutes. 🙂
Sounds like an ideal place for family! We South East Asian people definitely love our malls hahaha, and yes-it’s true that the thought of overcrowded malls (especially on weekends) totally scare us off so a less crowded, leisurely commercenter like this is definitely appealing!
It won’t be long when Commercenter will be filled completely with notable restaurants that power my excitement well enough. 🙂
Its quite difficult to find a less crowded place these days…
You can have a “me time” here and reflect while being alone. The conversations of other people fade into the background and you can relax.
I’m curious with their cinemas. One of this weeks I’m gonna try it out.
I thought the ambiance can be comparable to that of Greenbelt, Gateway, or Resorts World but without the popcorn and soda.
We dined in there (at Kessaku) last November. I didn’t know there was a cinema as well.
The cinemas are new and well appointed, featuring big comfy seats, excellent leg room, huge screens and excellent digital projection. Come try watching here. 🙂
The adjustable arm chairs is what I would always look for in a cinema hahaha I would certainly go here to “watch a movie” soon.
Ah haha of course, the adjustable arm chairs are best for couples watching the movie together. 😛
It is nice every once in awhile to just go to the center where everything is located together. So many of those restaurants sound deliciously amazing. And the theater looks really clean. Very nice.
The decor and design chosen is classy. Also, since the AC is still very new, keeping the theater cool was not a problem.
i’ve been hearing about this place! i think i’m going to invite my bf for a date here! we’ve already circled enough at the north! 😀 curious about what the south offers!
A fana fantastic place to hangout esp if you wan a not so crowded mall
