The 30th birthday is one of the most welcomed and exciting milestones in a person’s life. If you are turning this age, what could be the perfect birthday gift for yourself? There are many choices for sure: getting that designer bag you have always wanted, spending a leisure vacation to some place far from home, or finally buying a car and exploring the city as a tourist.

In the case of Czye, it was throwing out a birthday party with Cancer Warriors Foundation, Inc. kids and their families. By sharing smiles and blessings with other people and making them feel happy and special, it was truly a 30th birthday well spent. πŸ™‚

How I Learned About Cancer Warriors Foundation Inc.

The blogosphere is abuzz with so many campaigns and awareness programs by various foundations and groups, but not everyone is a supporter. Three months ago, I saw a video posted by Vikings Luxury Buffet on YouTube for Father’s Day. It was about how parents and children who are members of the Cancer Warriors Foundation Inc. share their love and support for one another even through the most difficult times.

These families must be very strong and brave indeed as they all fight against cancer. Their voices mesh together to make a louder and stronger heard sound wave on positivity.

Here’s the video. Please watch.

By the end of the clip, I found myself tearing up. Their messages were so inspiring, and because of that, I just felt determined to reach out to Cancer Warriors Foundation Inc. to inquire on ways I could contribute. Covering events and blogging about them to help spread awareness is one. In addition, I can also help by improving their website design.

I think it’s also a form of inspiring others to become more positive about life. Life does not end when you have cancer. Celebrating a birthday with the kids is an awesome treat.

What a wonderful way to support kids going through cancer treatment! The name “Cancer Warriors” is perfect :-). I love the whole idea behind it, and I think it’s amazing that you’re using your blog to get the word out.

Thanks, Megan. I like their name, too. It voices out a simple but meaningful message about themselves. Fighting against cancer is really a battle that consists of both physical and psychological tests. I applaud the kids for being strong and also their parents for all the support.

The Cancer Warriors Foundation, Inc. sounds like a great foundation. What an awesome way to celebrate a birthday. We did something like this in the past, but not with cancer patients. My daughter celebrated her birthday in an orphanage and instead of receiving gifts from her guests, we requested them to donate clothes, food and toys for the children.

What an amazing way to celebrate a birthday. Maybe I will copy Cyze’s idea for my next birthday. I did not know about this organization and I think it is pretty cool what they are doing. Will share with friends so they can donate as well.

Thanks, Monica. πŸ™‚ I thought it’s really a kind gesture to extend any help to make other people smile. Cyze showed a great example of how is it to be like a sister to the kids that day.

I think birthday’s are great but it’s even better when you can give back and do for others. It makes birthdays that much more exciting when you can give your time to great causes.

Right. When I think about what I really want in life, material things are just things. Our actions and emotions mean so much more. I hope to be able to make more time and live a passion to get involved in social community service.

What a great way to celebrate turning 30!! I have not heard of Cancer Warriors before! This sounds like a great organization to help kids with cancer like this, I wonder if they have a similar program in the US.

I’m sure there’s also a foundation in the US that strives for a similar cause. Ultimately, we want to end all hardships and celebrate life in all its glory. I just hope that Cancer Warriors Foundation will get more support from concerned groups and individuals.

This is such a great way to spend your birthday, touching and meaningful as well. We usually celebrate it with the less fortunate children or foundations but perhaps a foundation such as this could be something I should look into. Thank you for sharing.

You’re welcome! It’s a different way of celebrating a birthday. Oftentimes, people are caught up with throwing out a birthday party for themselves. This time, it’s to enjoy the day by making others happy.

You’re not the only one who hasn’t heard of them. This is why I think there must be a big effort to let their group be known more. What they’re doing for the benefit of many kids who have cancer is truly kind and remarkable.
