Move Your Dreams Forward on #WorldDreamDay

The journey towards the 3rd annual World Dream Day has finally begun! This is the time of the year once again to take the time to focus on a dream, a goal, a desire and think of actions you could take to make this dream real. All these will be happening on Dreambook Project’s World Dream Day Philippines, on September 27, 2014 (Saturday) from 1PM to 5pm, in PowerBooks Greenbelt, Makati City. Mark this day on your calendar as I invite you to take the Dream Day Challenge! πŸ™‚

The Dream Day Challenge

“All it takes is one conversation to change your life.”

It’s been said that we are more likely to accomplish our goals when we first visualize them and write them down. On Dream Day, participants are encouraged to do both. No more wondering β€œwhat if?” It is important to focus on ONE action you can take to move your life, your family, your business, and/or your community forward. Declare your commitment to creating the world of your dreams!

What is Dream Day all about?

Do you frequently tell yourself that you’ll do better β€œnext time” and then don’t change when the time comes? Do you often decide to do something β€œlater” only to find that it never gets done? If you answered β€œyes” to either one of these questions, you’re probably ignoring the fact that your behavior today is a strong indicator of your behavior tomorrow.

Dream Day aims to activate the transformative power of dreams by empowering dreamers to DO. This is the day when the dreamers, the visionaries and the innovators are honored. The overall mission of this initiative is to empowerΒ  individuals, organizations/business and communities around the world to believe that dreams, when combined with thoughtful action, truly CAN and WILL change the world.

World Dream Day and the Dreambook Project

World Dream Day (WDD) is an international movement that is acknowledged by the United Nations. It seeks to unleash human potential and by doing so transform the world. You can browse dayfordreamers.com for more info. The founder of World Dream Day, Ozioma Egwuonwu, has given the go signal for WDD Philippines.

WDD Philippines will use a few pages from Dreambook to help participants specify, clarify and celebrate their dreams or goals, and plan on how to reach these dreams and move these dreams forward. Life coach Claude Sta. Clara will be the speaker and facilitator for the program. Coach Claude is currently a consultant at Mind Pool, Organizational Change Consultants International, and Fullness of Life Foundation.

Dreambooks areΒ inspirational life coaching journals which are currently sold via National Bookstore and Powerbooks. It guides people to unearth their dreams and inspires them to make those dreams reality. Also, it invites users to take action and stay true to their dreams. Please browse facebook.com/dreambookproject for more info.

Wrap Up

I will be joining theΒ Dreambook Project’s World Dream Day Philippines on September 27 in Powerbooks Greenbelt, and I hope to see you there, too. πŸ™‚ I hope that we can be led to feel more empowered and more encouraged to move our dreams forward and together become a community of dreamers supporting each other! May this be a momentum going for our dreams! I expect that participants will be able develop their own road map better, formalize theirΒ  dreams, and with simple but powerful tips and techniques, make them come true.

I’ve never heard of World Dream Day before- thanks for sharing! I think I will have to come up with a list of things. I know the first thing on my list is going to be getting an A in my current MBA class- been doing well so far, so want to continue that streak!

    1. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

Wow. It’s great to hear that you already have a dream to pursue in mind. I know you can make it happen! πŸ™‚

  2. Melinda Dunne Avatar

I haven’t heard of Dream Day until today. What a wonderful idea to assist in focusing on your dreams. I also really like the fact that there is a dream journal to help focus on them more.

    1. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

Yes. Dreambook and WDD Philippines have arranged this day to be grand and epic. Everyone who will be attending the event must leave with a better focus and idea on what they want to do and how they are going to achieve what they want to do in life. πŸ™‚ Well hopefully that includes me.

  3. Michelle F. Avatar

I have never heard of world dream day. I need to focus more on my weight loss journey. Now is the time to do it before the year is over

    1. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

I’m here to cheer you up, Michelle. πŸ™‚ We all are. Mom is also on her weight loss journey, but she has to improve her health first before continuing. I wish you all the best to succeed through it!

  4. Shambray Avatar

I’ve never heard of World Dream Day. I love it! I so often say later to so many things. I need to make my dreams come true….NOW! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Marian Clarissa Avatar

Shambray, you fit with the title of the dream journal–it’s “I chase my dreams now.” You can see more info/pics about it at facebook.com/dreambookproject. πŸ™‚

    2. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

Let me share a quote: β€œDon’t be pushed by your problems; be led by your dreams.” πŸ˜€ Say yes to now!

  5. Lavende & Lemonade Avatar

Thanks for sharing, I’d not heard of Dream Day before but love the concept and will be taking some time to reflect now!

    1. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

I’m not surprised at all. Only few people know about it but now that you’re one who knows, feel the desire for a thing/event/quality passionately- MUSTLY- to create a world with that thing/event/quality as a MUST within it. Start dreaming and chasing your dreams. πŸ˜€

Thabks for sharing, this is my first time learning about World Dream Day. It is a wonderful idea.

    1. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

Totally — which is why I’m excited to head on to Powerbooks Greenbelt in the last Saturday of this month to meet with the coaches and get more inspiration. πŸ™‚

  7. Tanya Coffman Avatar

This is a new concept to me too, but it sounds lovely! I can’t wait to implement this exercise with my children too <3

    1. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

Yup, you can do that. In the WDD website, there is a downloadable toolkit for dreamers who want to participate. It’s for free so no worries. πŸ˜‰

  8. Heather Avatar

This will help so many people accomplish their dreams. What a great thing.

  10. Debi - Travel Blogger Avatar

This is really great! Most people don’t follow their dreams because they think they’re impossible or implausible. You’ve got to go for it, though. No guts, no glory.

    1. Marian Clarissa Avatar

Debi, you’re right. That’s why we advocate beginning with possibilities instead of limitations!

    2. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

A good idea to start as well is to ban the words “always” and “never” from your vocabulary. In that way, you are staying out of limitations and boundaries.

  11. Diana Villa Avatar

I love inspiring post just like this one! Thank you so much for sharing πŸ˜€

It’s nice to see that visionaries are being honored through Dream Day. If it wasn’t for forward thinking, we’d stagnate.

    1. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

You know what, I’ve been cross-examining each destructive belief I have lately for myself, like a tough attorney. This helps me brainstorm new ways to dispute and discredit my lame excusesβ€”by gathering β€œpositive evidence” to the contrary. It’s one way to think ahead and dream big.

  13. FamiGami Avatar

I’ve never heard of world dream day! Can i call in from work and say I’m celebrating?

    1. Marian Clarissa Avatar

This is the first time I’ve heard of the campaign, but it’s something that I have been doing since late 2012. While I do feel bad for putting things off because before, I’m glad to have decided to want to do the things I love now. Life’s too short to wait for the right time, right?

    1. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

You are so right! Big hug. πŸ˜€

This sounds very cool and wish I could be there! I dream all the time and I have a book of all my dreams since I was around 10 years old. When I look at all the dreams, so of them did came true and some didn’t, but it told me that life is always the beautiful memories that you capture. I will be celebrating Dreams Day here in the US and being with you in spirit on this day. Thanks for sharing this day with me.

    1. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

Yay! There are also people celebrating WDD in the US and I’m so glad to hear that you’re one of them!

Most of the things we dream about are things we could do if we were willing to work toward it, align our choices to support it, and stay flexible in terms of fulfilling it. We don’t need to believe it will be easy, or it will happen quickly, or it will look exactly like we visualized it. We just need to believe in the possibility, which really means we need to believe in our own self.

  19. Marian Clarissa Avatar

World Dream Day celebrates all kinds of dreams, big or small. Samantha Angell, it can be getting an A in your MBA. Michelle F., it can be losing weight. Tanya Coffman, it’s great that you’re sharing it with your kids. πŸ™‚

    1. Rochkirstin Santos Avatar

To add, you can track your dreams via the Dreambook. It uses simple yet powerful techniques to help you not only dream your biggest dream and set your goals, but to actually MAKE THEM HAPPEN too.

  20. Marian Clarissa Avatar

Melinda Dunne, Michelle F., Shambray, Lavende & Lemonade, Catherine S, Tanya Coffman, Hollywoodhiccups, Famigami, Margarita Ibbott, Russ, glad that you know about World Dream Day now. Thanks to those who like the idea. πŸ™‚ Will you join us on Sept. 27, 2014 130pm at PowerBooks Greenbelt?
