I was invited to try and experience their services for myself and I chose to avail of their ongoing promotion: Rebonding / Brazilian Blowout / OmbrĆ© (Hair Color Trend) + 6 other services for only PhP 2000. Very timely, since taming my hair has become one of the most frustrating parts of myĀ morning routine, I had my hair rebondedĀ and alsoĀ got to experience foot spa, foot reflexology, manicure, pedicure, and hair cellophane. The last one in my list was supposedly “back massage,” but because I was rushing for dinner, I just skipped it and went out of the salon feeling satisfied anyway.

Review of D’Ā Xpert Salon and Spa (Dr Jose P. Rizal Avenue, Makati City)
Ambiance:
The owner’s favorite color is pink, and it shows. D’Ā Xpert Salon and Spa is fitted with pink walls and Hello Kitty decorations. You can say this place’s interior design leans towards totally girly, but that doesn’t stop men from also visiting the salon and availing a number of their services.
Geared to its local clientele, D’Ā Xpert Salon and Spa is nestled on the quiet street of Dr Jose P. Rizal. It’s nicely spaced, with areas catering to the salon (front) and the spa (back) separately. Clean, colorful and contemporary,Ā D’Ā XpertĀ is a beautiful place to conveniently and comfortably wile away the hours, so customersĀ can book a whole host of treatments for a relaxing afternoon.
Service:
The staff wereĀ personable and professional. They offer drinks: coffee, tea, and water to guests waiting to be served. Hair stylists sounded knowledgeable about the products they use and procedures they do. They alsoĀ recommend treatments, styles and cuts according to the customer’s facial shape, hair texture, hair condition, and personal preferences.
After gettingĀ a Brazilian Blowout at Petra & Pepita Encarnacion Group of Salon in October 2015 (nine months ago), I thought my hair was once again in dire need of a little pick-me-up. It’s a bit wavy with frizz all over. Hair rebonding with Cellowax cellophane treatmentĀ at D’ Xpert Salon and Spa gave meĀ straight locks like the ones you see on the labels of hair products and shampoo ads. š Since there were too many customers in the salon being served simultaneously on a Sunday, the transformation was done in six hours. Sigh, I know. The wait was long but well worth it.
The procedure began with the hair stylist sectioning my hair and spraying the strands with water. Then, he applied the organic hair rebonding treatment and left it on for about an hour.
AĀ vast of products used for hair rebonding are effective for hairĀ straightening, but there’s only a few that are safe to use. ThoseĀ containing strong chemicals can irritate theĀ scalp, loosen theĀ hair vitality, and mayĀ cause hair fall or more seriousĀ damages.Ā D’Ā Xpert Salon and Spa’sĀ Organic Hair Rebonding treatmentĀ manages to ease two head scratching worries. What’s good was that I did not feel my scalp stingĀ or itch throughout the duration of the service.
After rinsing, the stylist went on towel-drying and blow-drying my hair before he ironed it straight. We waited for a while before he applied the neutralizer cream, rinsed my hair again, and then put on clear cellophane.Ā The Cellowax cellophane treatment made my scalp feel icyĀ cool and refreshed. Result isĀ healthier and shinier hair that looks silkier than before. It also makes the natural color more vibrant and lush by increasing the light refraction due to the shine.

Foot spa, foot reflexology, manicure, and pedicure were neatly done as well. I liked that the manicurist/ pedicuristĀ was gentle and thoroughĀ in her approach as I’m sensitive to pain. She did a wonderful job at both my hands and feet.

Price for Value:
Last Sunday was my first visit and I’m sure it won’t be my last. WithĀ PhP 2000, there’s so much pampering you can do to enhance your look. At D’Ā Xpert Salon and Spa, you can leave feeling a million dollars without having to spend that much of money. In hair coloring, D’Xpert Salon and Spa uses Cynos ColorPlex, a high-end brand with high-quality products. It also sells a whole line of hair care products that can’t be bought in malls or beauty section of the department store.
D’ Xpert will be celebrating their second anniversary on August 7, 2016. Doors will be open to guests and customers from 7:00AM to 10:00PM.
