In the past two weeks, I have been searching for large wedding reception venues in Metro Manila that can accommodate our guestsΒ and provideΒ the best possible experience for us on our big day. Those who know me as a PM will surely get how I’m strict about time, budget, scope, and quality. A wedding is another event that takes a lot of organization and planning to complete. In this regard, like projects I handle, there are alsoΒ resources to control and deliverables to fulfill at certain time points before the wedding.

Deciding on theΒ wedding reception venue takes utmost importance, asΒ thisΒ should really be an ideal place for the celebration. Advanced booking is a must.Β By “advanced,” I mean one or over one year ahead. Otherwise, there’s a huge chance that your dream spotΒ is already taken. Trust me, I learned it from experience!

There are so many factors to consider when choosing the finestΒ wedding reception venue. For us, the size of the guest list and the kind of food offered by the place are the twoΒ biggest determinants.

After days and days of searching, we have finally chosen and booked both the church and reception area. πŸ™‚ Since it took me some time and effort to research and review decent locations (hotel grand ballrooms and restaurants in banquet setup), I thought it will be pleasant to share the result of my research already consolidated in one page.

I hope that this will make it easier forΒ engaged couples, especially those who have over 400 guests,Β toΒ contact the establishments andΒ shortlist options as well. πŸ™‚

Wedding and receptions can be so much fun but also stressful to plan when you do not have the right tools. You have created an amazing tool for brides and grooms to be. There are so many options for metro manila!

Yup, there’s more, but I think these are the more popular ones when it comes to choosing wedding reception venues that are large and decent. Prices may be more expensive as well but that comes with the territory as expected. πŸ™‚

Planning a wedding can be so much fun but it can also be stressful. I remember planning my own wedding and how everyone was shocked we put everything together in about 8 weeks! I can’t believe many of these venues have to be booked one year in advance!

I never knew how much work it took to prepare for a wedding until, I had to help my sister’s with hers. This list helps cut back on some of the ground work and allows the event planners to just make phone calls.

I won’t be hiring a professional wedding planner so I must beef up with all the information that’s available. Getting info from all these different hotels and restaurants took me 1-3 days to complete.

Kudos to you for creating this helpful post to those planning for their wedding. It’s a lot easier to find everything in one page rather than browsing the entire worldwide web for pocket information.

I’d be sad to put these info to waste if they would just sit on my laptop’s folder. With all the emotion and excitement that comes with the early stages of wedding planning, reserving the wedding reception early on will save big headaches.

Wow I didn’t realize it is recommended to book wedding venues so far in advance. My husband and I got married in City Hall and had a small party with friends and family. We wanted to spend the money on a down payment on a house instead of throwing a huge wedding party. Best of luck on your wedding planning!

Oh yeah, that’s practical to do these days when life is tough. πŸ˜‰ We’re getting married on a Sunday so it’s harder to book a venue. We’ll definitely run out of good ones if we don’t reserve now.

Ah the wedding planning days, they are so fun yet stressful at the same time. We had a fairly small wedding so finding a venue wasn’t too difficult. You are lucky that you have so many options to choose from!

Yup, a wedding happens once in a lifetime so I don’t like to settle for a hastily created ceremony area in a dark corner somewhere. Of course, food must also be great! πŸ™‚

I haven’t experienced planning an event as big as a wedding! There’s no doubt that it’s both challenging and stressful especially when it’s such a special day for you. It’s great to have a lot of options and these are definitely good ones too.

Cramming is not an option especially for a big event like this. Saturdays and Sundays are the most common days to get married. It’s convenient, it’s traditional, and it’s what most people are used to. And because it’s the most common day, it’s also the most expensive and most-booked. πŸ˜€

Yes, that’s the goal. Before choosing a venue though, the couple must at least have an estimate count of guests. Otherwise, it will be more challenging to pick a venue confidently.

Good to see our own wedding reception venue is still up there on the list — the New World Hotel. Congratulations on your own upcoming wedding. I am sure you will be picking the best of these venues.

Thanks, Fred! I received the proposal of New World Hotel and it was also one of our top picks. But considering the location or distance from the church and other conveniences, we chose another one. πŸ™‚

That’s a very useful post for the people of Manila! Weddings are a once in lifetime major important event and are becoming bigger and bigger. And there are quite a few who would like it huge with large social circle with all their friends & relatives.

Right. We both have big families so we’re 100% sure that we’ll be needing a large venue to host our guests. πŸ˜€ There’s no doubt about it.

You’re welcome! πŸ™‚ Now that we’re done finalizing the location, the next step is to choose suppliers for the gowns, cake, invitation cards, souvenirs, and a lot more. The good thing is that we still have a year.

I’m sure this will be helpful for me in the future, but first I will have to find my groom! Haha. Congrats again!

I’ve always dreamed of having a wedding at Manila Pen, so I’m hoping you have yours there too! The place is amazing and rich in history.

Haha thanks, Phia. πŸ™‚ Manila Pen’s area is too small for us so I just thanked the events team for their proposal. I really like their ambiance though.

Yeah. We’re not fans of garden wedding because there are more things to worry about like the weather (whether it’s going to rain or it may be too sunny outside) and the temperature (guests will be in suit and gorgeous dresses). πŸ˜€

Great post! I don’t plan on getting married yet but when I do, I certainly will most likely do it in the Philippines since most of my family is there. This post will surely help out when it comes to planning even though it’s not anytime soon. Thank you for sharing. πŸ™‚

Yes. πŸ™‚ Apart from the wedding venue though, the wedding style should come with the decision. Many couples think that they don’t need to decide on a wedding style in advance, but I think it is one of the most important decisions as well because you might be able to save on decorations and decor if you select a venue that suits your wedding day style.

My dream reception would have to be a garden one. But if I am given a HUGE budget, I’ll definitely go for Sofitel or The Peninsula Manila.

Sofitel was one of my top choices as well however they don’t have Chinese food as part of the package and we can’t also invite catering services from outside.
