As you may already know, as much as I’m crazy about food, I’m also all about health and fitness. Working out and health eating are only the tip of the iceberg, when it comes to goal achievement. Fairly apparent, they are a way of life. 🙂

One of the finest ways to sustain healthy living is through intake of raw and fresh vegetable and fruit juices, as fruits and vegetables contain many of the readily available vitamins and minerals that are needlessly lost during cooking, boiling, frying, and other ruinous food preparation processes. The good news? This summer, SpeedyCourse Philippines has teamed up with Hurom Slow Juicer to kick off the season with a FREE health and wellness seminar: Juicing for Health, Beauty and Wellness.

The juicing trend continues to make waves, and the increasing number of recipes, ingredients, “diet” menus and contrasting opinions on juicing leave many people with the question: “How is juicing really beneficial to our health?”.

In this seminar, Maria Socorro ‘Cocoi’ M. Andal, Naturopathy Practitioner and Health & Wellness Advocate, will talk about what our bodies need as true nutrition, its sources and how fresh fruit and vegetable juicing can help meet these nutritional demands. She will also touch on detoxification, an essential process to losing weight the natural and healthy way, helping to recover from ailments, as well as keeping the immune system strong and fit to prevent diseases.

Using Hurom Slow Juicer, Ms. Cocoi will also discuss and demo various juicing recipes for multi-dimensional needs. This is your chance to get to know more about the power of juicing and ask questions during the seminar! 🙂

The free juicing seminar will be held on March 28, 2015 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at Roofdeck, Prestige Tower, F. Ortigas Jr. Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Online registration starts on March 20, 2015! To register, go to www.speedycourse.com.ph!

Thanks for sharing the free seminar for juicing for health & beauty. I love taking online courses, the last one I took was for food photography but this one sounds like something I’d enjoy as well.

I have a juicer that has been collecting dust. I need to get it back out, clean it up and start juicing again. I know there are so many health benefits, but I’ve been lethargic about buying ingredients and finding recipes. This is inspiring me to get to the store and get it done.

Haha you are so right! We also have a power juicer but we seldom put it to good use. Main reason is that we don’t have the time to buy the ingredients and make the juice. 😐

There is a big juicing craze in my area as well. I’m not too interested in it, though, because I love to eat a variety of textures, but my boys might like it. They never met a smoothie that they didn’t like.

Smoothies taste great. They also offer many life-enhancing health benefits including a faster, more efficient way to absorb immune boosting nutrients naturally found in fruits and vegetables. 🙂

I am a big fan of juicing and the benefits of juicing. I was drinking fresh juice from my juicer daily then I got out of the habit when I had to cut back on my grocery bill. I love to juice beets and apples! YUM!

Great to hear that. 🙂 Drinking fresh juice can help us adopt healthier eating patterns. If you ever feel like it’s difficult to eat enough veggies, making a small investment in a high-quality juicer is one of the best steps you can take for your health.

Thanks for sharing the course, it’s important to stay healthy and understand what we eating. Juicing is so easy and very important I am yet to try it this year though I should get on it.

Thank you for sharing this. I love making my own juice and making smoothies. They always taste refreshing! So much better then anything you can buy in a store or even at those stands in malls that ‘juice’ things for you. I much rather make them myself! Staying healthy is so important!

Right. Fresh-pressed juice that you make yourself not only contains greater nutritional value, but it also contains life. It’s like drinking a natural vitamin filled with living enzymes, essential minerals, antioxidants, and natural antibiotics, as compared to bottled juices that are already pasteurized.

I have heard amazing things about people doing juicing. I think it’s a great way to let toxins out of your body in a healthy way and to add the good stuff to your body as well. I need to find a way to get better at doing things like this.

Yup, it’s a good way. Juicing helps absorb all the nutrients from the fruits and vegetables. This is important because most of us have impaired digestion as a result of making less-than-optimal food choices over many years.

The juicer is a must-have kitchen appliance. Investing in a heavy-duty one is a good gift for yourself and your family. You’re welcome, Lauren. 🙂

I love vegetable and fruit juice! I usually just buy my vegetable juice pre made from the supermarket when I want to drink it but I can see how juicing your own could be a much better idea 🙂

Yeah I think it’s more advisable to create your own juices at home; that is, if you have the time. 🙂 By doing this, you can add a wider variety of vegetables in your diet and are not limited to whatever that’s already been made available in the store.

I almost got away from the juicing craze. I thought about buying a juicer and didnt and now I regret it. I’ve bought 10 juicers with all the money I spend buying it bottled.

Whoa that’s a lot! Buying bottles juices is no doubt more convenient. It’s just also good to check the ingredients or the fruits/vegetables that are put into the drink. 😉

Juicing is definitely on trend right now yeah :D. I’m actually very tempted to try out those juice detox but i gotta be honest, a full on juice detox kinda intimidates me! Not sure how i’d fare without solids for 3 days or more

I have heard about juice fasting but I have never tried it. My mom did it for a week and said that she did not feel hungry at all. This is a good thing to do every quarter or every season of the year for detoxification. 🙂
