  • Top Travel Gadgets For People On the Move

Top Travel Gadgets For People On the Move

Whether you’re a serial vacationer or have to move around a lot for your job, you’ll know that frequent travel comes with its challenges. We’ve collected a short list of the best gadgets that every regular traveler needs to throw into their carry-on luggage.

    Portable Power

When you’re travelling, you’re likely to be out and about, on your feet, at the airport or commuting for hours and hours on end – you’re not going to get to a charging cable any time soon.

Investing in a portable power pack as a frequent traveler is a must – and one that uses clean energy is a bonus! Check out these 4 Patriot Power Cell reviews to see if this is a good option for you.

    A Travel Steam Iron

We all want to look our best when we’re heading out to a dinner, especially on a vacation in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, suitcases are a nightmare for clothing that creases easily.

A portable steam iron will allow you and even your wrinkliest shirts to look fresh and ready to go no matter how far away you far from your ironing board.

    Personal Wi-Fi Hotspot

Travelling internationally can make staying connected a little tricky. Foreign SIM cards, data expenses and all that can call away if you purchase your own personal Wi-Fi hotspot. Be sure to find one that will work for you and is affordable!

    Miniature Travel Laundry Basket

Living out of a suitcase for two weeks is bad enough without having to mix up your fresh, clean button-ups with yesterday’s sandy swim shorts.

Purchase a travel laundry basket to take along with you on your trips so you can separate your clean and dirty clothes neatly and easily. This will even make unpacking when you get home a much quicker and easier job – no more sorting through piles and sniffing each item that comes out.

    Travel Adapter Plugs

Something people often fail to plan for when travelling internationally is the difference in plugs and outlets you might run into when you arrive at your destination.

Invest in a universal adapter plug before you leave in order to avoid trying to plug in your blow dryer before a big night out and realising that it simply doesn’t fit, and you’ll have to head out the door soaking wet.

    Portable Water Purifier

This is one for the adventure junkies who prefer to travel in the great outdoors. Save on copious plastic water bottles by investing in a portable water purifier instead.

These little gadgets will allow you to safely drink from any water source you come across, saving plastic, and protecting the planet at the same time, making you a real eco-warrior.

    Clip-On Lenses

If you consider yourself a budding photographer but can’t afford the real deal, investing in clip-on camera lenses for your smartphone is a great affordable alternative to a DSLR.

Level up your photography and impress your Instagram followers with your beautiful travel shots – they’ll never even know you took them with your iPhone.

  • 4 Restaurants We Tried in Ayala Solenad Nuvali in 1 Day

4 Restaurants We Tried in Ayala Solenad Nuvali in 1 Day

With the table-hunting in Nuvali, we ended up dining in these four restaurants which made all the efforts worth it. We made no reservations and were glad that we didn’t need to wait long to get seated. May these spots excite you, cheer you up, and provide comfort and good memories to come!

Where to Eat? 4 Restaurants We Tried in Ayala Solenad Nuvali in 1 Day

    1. Bistro Charlemagne

Lunch was our first order of business upon reaching Ayala Solenad Nuvali, and we immediately headed to Bistro Charlemagne since it was among the top restaurants listed in TripAdvisor that we haven’t tried before. We came in hungry and left pretty full and satisfied. It’s a busy place with a pleasant staff team who were quick on their feet. Ambiance has a mix of both contemporary and an old-world vibe, completing a regal and easygoing experience.

Bistro Charlemagne serves food significantly of Asian fusion cuisine, since the restaurant is a concept by Little Asia (if you’re familiar with the latter, you will know). For starters, we got the Asian tuna tataki salad, which consisted of sesame crusted seared tuna on a bed of greens tossed with watermelon, peach, and cherry tomatoes. As expected, it was fresh, light, and tasty! We also shared a small platter of Vietnamese Spring rolls with the Nuoc Cham dipping sauce and tuna tataki with traditional Japanese ponzu sauce.

For mains, we had Little Asia’s Crispy Chicken paired with bagoong fried rice. Yum! This classic house special crispy chicken with savory gravy and shrimp paste rice can’t be missed!

    2. Nono’s

After lunch, we checked out several retail outlets in the mall and bought souvenirs from the tiangges (bazaars/small stalls) selling local handcrafts and Christmas products. We just didn’t notice the time and got hungry for pastries and an afternoon pick-me-up, so going to Nono’s for some snacks and drinks was a no-brainer. It’s one of our favorite places for a break.

Sitting down at this charming, colorful spot felt like finally riding in a comfy air-conditioned car after a long and hot day. The atmosphere here is so relaxed, so it’s easy to get comfy.

Nono’s is a place that’s sure of itself, in a “we make the best confections and we know it” type of way. Without a question, we decided to go for their irresistible chocolate oblivion and shared a slice each of the banana cream pie mini and apple pie.

    3. The Pigpen

The Pigpen is also one of the highly rated and most praised restaurant in Nuvali. The menu is full of interesting yakitori, with a ton of options to choose from, ranging from Pork Cheek & Ear, Pork Belly, Chicken Leg & Thigh, Chicken Breast, Sausage & Bacon, and Saikoro & Beef Tendon, to Miso Glazed Corn. If you’re a first-timer here like us, the Yakitori Platter with assorted skewers would make a fine and safe option. Can’t go wrong! But if you’re curious to sample just one, we suggest getting the Pork Cheek & Ear. It was beautifully spiced and flawlessly textured. A surprise standout.

Aside from the hefty skewers, we also made sure to try some of the highlights: chicken wings, deep-fried pork belly served with kimchi (a smart pairing I haven’t seen before), and braised, seared pork belly roll. Shout out to the mushroom soup which we really liked. It did a fantastic job marrying earthy and creamy together.

    4. Nonna’s Pizza Napoletana

Before heading back to the hotel, we made the most out of our visit in Ayala Solenad Nuvali by having a second dinner right after coming out full from The Pigpen! 🙂 Nonna’s Pizza Napoletana is an Italian restaurant serving artisanal pastas and pizzas. It’s an inviting, quaint spot that’s a sister restaurant of the famous Italian eatery, Mama Lou’s. Nonna’s is the Italian word for “grandmother,” and the idea of the place is like coming to your quirky grandma’s house for a nice, homey meal or whenever you want pasta and pizza cravings satisfied.

  • Top 5 Things to Do in La Bella Boutique Hotel, Tagaytay

Top 5 Things to Do in La Bella Boutique Hotel, Tagaytay

Looking for a family staycation place or a kid-friendly boutique hotel in Tagaytay? I searched through Agoda.com and La Bella Boutique Hotel came right on top of the list. After a few minutes of browsing and comparing the ambiance, facilities, and rates, it was an easy decision to book a room at La Bella over a weekend. From the photos, it looked brimming with recreational activities, and based on the map, it’s conveniently located near the best and most popular restaurants in Tagaytay. You know what this means: good news for foodies!

Restaurants near La Bella Boutique Hotel, Tagaytay (Brgy. Neogan) include Antonio’s Garden, Marcia Adams, Lime & Basil, Breakfast at Antonio’s, Bag of Beans Cafe and Restaurant, Girasol, Sonya’s Secret Garden, Balay Dako, Aozora Japanese Restaurant, Mushroom Burger, Pamana, Bulalo Point, and more! We reserved our seats prior coming and had a great time. Check out my other post for our recommended places to eat.

Top 5 Things to Do in La Bella Boutique Hotel, Tagaytay

    1. Take photos of this Greek-Mediterranean inspired well-being enclave and feel yourself part of this beauty.

Bella is Italian word translating to beautiful–and no doubt, this vacation spot is so beautiful! It’s another must-visit place in the Philippines that can instantly transport you into a dream vacation. The first thing we noticed was that the structure of the buildings in this property features the iconic blue and white colors that mimic the grandiose Santorini.

Thanks to Waze, La Bella Boutique Hotel was easy to find and reach by car. Take photos, lots of them, and create some awesome memories with family and friends!

Here are some photos of the room:

    2. Visit the gallery.

La Bella Boutique Hotel features sleek rooms where you can just chill, relax, and maybe watch Netflix on bed, but there are more exciting areas to check out when in the area. Roam around in their gallery on the ground floor connecting to the reception area. Check out the exhibition of artsy crafts, paintings, and unique wooden pieces of furniture.

    2. Take delight in organic food.

Organico Gourmet by Chef Gloria de Vera was voted as one of the top 10 most loved restaurants in San Juan and Mandaluyong. My mom and I were among the people invited to experience their first day of opening in Luna Mencias back in 2015. We were also happy to learn that they have a branch in La Bella Community that serves hotel guests with breakfast, all-day all-natural organic food, and a wide range of healthy home-cooked meals.

    4. Swim in the pool.

La Bella’s swimming pool is nothing complex; it’s not a lap pool, but it’s excellent for dipping and playing in the water especially with kids. Their outdoor swimming pool offers a sense of fun and somewhat “magical quality” because it’s transparent like an aquarium or a large tank. The lack of visible structure is a brilliant aspiration for both swimmers and spectators alike.

    5. Reconnect with nature.

La Bella is a tranquil choice if you want to relax somewhere like in a retreat haven. It has a wide garden area adorned with tall trees, plants, and flowers where you can spend long afternoons meditatively communing with nature. Sneak in some quality time with the family and make your way to unwind and just admire this quiet space.

    Wrap Up

If you’ve been craving to hit the road and have a short trip even during a weekend, this might be best place to go for your next staycation. La Bella Boutique Hotel in Tagaytay is huge so guests may take a while to walk around the entire compound and check on all the wonderful amenities. Its beautiful architecture, spotless service, great dining options in their “in-house restaurants,” and its accessible location make it a great pick for discerning (and well-heeled) travelers.

  • Where to Eat? 4 Tagaytay Restaurants We Tried that We Recommend

Where to Eat? 4 Tagaytay Restaurants We Tried that We Recommend

I guess by now it’s common knowledge that Tagaytay is one of the famous destinations in the Philippines where you can have the best bulalo. Left and right, there are several restaurants specializing and serving a variety of dishes with bulalo. It persists as a point of pride indeed, a rallying call for the city. Meanwhile, there are also other restaurants and food options that are worth a drive. In this blog post, I put together a list of dining establishments we’ve recently tried and we recommend to add to your bucket list.

Where to Eat? 4 Tagaytay Restaurants We Tried that We Recommend

    1. Organico Gourmet at La Bella

We stayed at La Bella Boutique Hotel, so we thought it would be a timely opportunity to dine at Organico Gourmet to try their “deliciously organic” dishes. This restaurant is situated within the La Bella Tagaytay compound and just beside the hotel entrance. It serves home-cooked meals using organic ingredients to promote healthy living.

The decors add warmth and spice up the indoor area with personality and charm. Lights emitting a soft warm glow create an inviting environment, combined with the natural bright sunshine from the windows. Plants add a little pop of nature and a sense of calm, making it more relaxing.

    Food rundown:

    Bulalo Steak

    Bulalo Soup

    Organic Sisig

    2. Marcia Adams (Mediterranean)

Marcia Adams was one of the top dazzling restaurants we discovered through Instagram that inspired us to get to Tagaytay for a nice family dinner. The ambiance was impeccable, the type that’s perfect for those who plan to propose for an engagement with a partner and for those who’d like to celebrate any special occasion.

A group of musicians serenaded us with classic love songs like Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Can’t Help Falling in Love, Runaway, etc. These songs can make you gaze endlessly into the eyes of the one you love or sing along and enjoy a fun moment as they play.

The menu was excellent across the board. We decided to order their best-sellers, from appetizers and mains to desserts to experience all the “tried-and-tested” hits.

    Food rundown:

Tzatziki with Lettuce Chips – This refreshing yogurt dish is served all over The Eastern Mediterranean whether as part of a mezze or an accompaniment to meat dishes.

    Hummus

Amalfi Prawns – Crispy and succulent prawns marinated in salt, pepper, olive oil, parsley, coated with bread crumbs and pan-fried

Mushroom Soup – Creamy and aromatic; made with fresh mushrooms

Italian Pork Chop – A grilled loin chop seasoned with fennel and pepper; with fresh tomato salsa

Fish Souvlaki – ‘Catch of the Day’ kebabs marinated in olive oil, lemon and herbs

Chicken Kebabs – Marinated in cumin and home made yogurt

Ai Funghi Pasta – Spaghetti with mixed fresh mushrooms, basil and garlic

Panna Cotta with Lemon Sauce, Lavender Crème Brûlée, Pavlova (meringue topped with whipped cream, bananas, kiwis and passion fruit coulis), and Grilled Orange with Vanilla Ice Cream

Everything from the colorful seats and cushions, flower arrangements, architectural details and ornaments, to the variety of dishes were carefully selected to create a unique experience. For these reasons, Mediterranean-themed Marcia Adams is almost always packed, so it’s best to try calling or sending them a message online to book a reservation.

    3. Girasol (American, Filipino, Italian)

We attempted to check Breakfast at Antonio’s since it was just near La Bella but figured that it might take us forever to get a table. The queue of the cars outside was too long, and it occupied one whole lane of the street outside already!

We drove away for an alternative decent breakfast place that’s also a good brunch option. Girasol not too faraway drew our attention instantly. We walked into the classy, quiet “events place” and got ourselves a fine meal. While waiting for food to be served, the waitstaff offered to tour us to the wine cellar, and we gladly accepted.

We shared a plate of egg florentine; it’s big enough for two, unless you’re too hungry! 🙂 It’s a heavenly combination of sautéed spinach, mushrooms, poached eggs, and smoked ham on wheat baguette with hollandaise sauce and served with a mixed salad on the side. Get a little bit of everything in each bite! If you ever need a classy morning pick-me-up and didn’t want to feel guilty afterwards, this is for you.

Next, we had chicken arroz caldo which turned out to be super delicious! You can’t lose with this one. If you’re a fan of porridge for breakfast or brunch, order with confidence. It’s a great Sunday morning treat indeed, or any day for that matter!

    4. Farmer’s Table Tagaytay

Serving only the freshest ingredients from farm-to-table goodness in the midst of nature, Farmer’s Table is an escape to the countryside offering the truest hospitality aside from amazing food. Located at Nurture Wellness Village, it’s a must-visit restaurant especially if you like to be surrounded with nature when dining. It’s also a great venue when you’re thinking of introducing Mom and Dad to the person you want to marry–and you need to do most of the impressing. 😉

That aside, what really sets Farmer’s Table apart from others is that the freshness and the quality of the vegetables are the star of every bite–at least in the vegetarian dishes we had. From the appetizers to the mains and drinks, the vegetables here will make you want to hug the nearest farmer! Once your plate is filled with artfully-presented Filipino comfort food classics, you’ll all be set for one of your best meals in recent memory.

    Food rundown:

Hothouse Crispy Cauliflower & Broccoli with Spicy Buffalo Sauce and Bleu Cheese Dip

Hot & Crispy Stone-Fired Proscuitto di Parma Pizza – topped with arugula and a sweet balsamic drizzle

Kalderetang “Osso Bucco” – beef shanks in a deep kaldereta sauce with bell peppers and carrots, topped with malunggay, basil, pesto, potatoes, and malagos pecorino

Thai-Style Langka & Vegetable Curry – langka, eggplant, tomatoes, beans, cashews with their house-made Thai coconut kale curry sauce

Laing served in a coconut shell topped with fresh chilies and coconut cream

Farmhouse Cooler: Signature Pineapple Kale Smoothie – Nurture Farm’s Curly Kale, Fresh Pineapples, and Fresh Mint

    Wrap Up

Itching to get outside, feel the sun on your skin, and get some fresh air? Tagaytay is a culinary haven in the south with a growing number of locally owned restaurants, cafes, and neighborhood foodie spots. Check these recommendations out! You’ll love lounging in these scenic areas and enjoy scrumptious meals at good value.

  • Make Healthy Holidays Possible with Klenzcol #KlenzYourGut

Make Healthy Holidays Possible with Klenzcol #KlenzYourGut

We’re now in the middle of December. It’s the holiday season! Our festivities and mini get-togethers have actually started last week and will end maybe until the first week of January. 🙂 Eating too much food more frequent than I do in my diet makes me feel less than stellar. If you’ve feasted on lots of food and are thinking of a reset, or are in the mood for a pre-holiday cleanse, this post is for you.

Resorting to a crash diet or hours upon hours of exercise to get back on track is not totally necessary. Our body can heal itself, and we can make healthy holidays possible with a few gentle ways with Klenzol. Here are 3 reasons why you should try it:

    1. All-in-one, all-natural detox product

Klenzcol is a healthy drink for a healthy colon. It contains all-natural ingredients which will only do good for the body. These are food we’re familiar with: apple, guava, kiwi, cabbage, green peas, oat bran, and more–not some chemicals we can’t even read and decipher. I don’t have the time to buy all these food items and take them with my daily meals, so having an all-in-one natural cleansing product designed to get rid of toxins and unwanted matter sounds efficient!

    2. Easy to drink

Without enough fiber in our diet, microbes start to gobble up the mucus barrier in the gut as an alternative food source. With one sachet of Klenzcol dissolved in 150 ml of water, I can keep up with fiber intake requirement instantly. It contains the fiber equivalent of 12 carrots, 7 bananas, or 3 heads of lettuce. Wow! Love that this drink contains probiotics, too, which help flush out congested waste from the digestive tract. It is easy to take for the entire family, and even for kids. It’s also FDA-registered, so no worries.

The recommendation is to take it 15 minutes before a heavy meal. Just dissolve in lukewarm water (not too hot and not too cold). Hot water may “kill” the enzymes present in Klenzcol, while cold water tends to form a jelly consistency that’s not easy to drink. So what I do is to mix in with lukewarm water, and then once the powder is dissolved, I add ice! I usually drink it before dinner every other day. Tip: Add honey as a natural sweetener for added flavor.

    3. No bloated feeling

It doesn’t work like a laxative so there won’t be any feeling of a bloated stomach, having a swollen abdomen, or any “accidents” if you take it. What it will do is make you go more quickly following your usual routine.

    Wrap Up

Having “healthy holidays” may seem impossible, as all that party food and takeaway can have consequences for our gut health. Between after-work events with coworkers and meals and festive chaos with family and close friends, it’s no surprise that our bodies will need a detox at some point.

With Klenzcol, you can still prioritize wellness and enjoy all your favorite holiday food without the guilt or the stress. This is not a full detox—and it’s not difficult; it’s just a way to eat a little bit cleaner and more mindfully. Drinking it to cleanse regularly may just be the secret to give yourself permission to indulge, without sacrificing nutrition and your defense systems in the gut. Take care! 🙂

    Klenzcol Price

Original SRP: P650 for each box of Klenzcol and P2,600 for a bundle of 4.

  • First Time Long Time… Staycation at Seda Hotel Nuvali (Sta. Rosa, Laguna)

First Time Long Time… Staycation at Seda Hotel Nuvali (Sta. Rosa, Laguna)

Schedule at work is hectic, but the good thing is I’m kinda feeling the holiday vibes now. The days are getting shorter, the air is getting chillier especially before sunrise, and a cup of coffee calls every early morning. And finally I now have the time to write a blog. This post is about our staycation at Seda Hotel Nuvali on the first weekend of December 2021. Woohoo!

Seda Hotel in Nuvali is strategically located near Ayala Malls Solenad – Nuvali and the bustling business center as well as natural landscapes evoking a serene, resort-like environment. We booked our rooms days before, and I was so glad that restrictions are easing out and they don’t require having a negative RT-PCR test result. The only requirement is for guests to be fully vaccinated. We were asked for our IDs and our vaccination cards upon checking in. Seda Nuvali welcomes children as guests, and swab or saliva-based RT-PCR test results are also not required. Pwede bata! Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) though, wearing a face mask is still mandatory in all indoor common areas.

It’s been a long time since we last visited Nuvali, or even traveled somewhere faraway from home. We were just stuck at either our home or in the office in the past months this year. Sta. Rosa Laguna is just about 1.5 hours of drive away, so it’s a good place to go to break the ice.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CXNxibvvdBO/

We only had like a day to explore the area, so there was no serious itinerary in this short trip. The hotel offers a tranquil respite in its surroundings, facilities, and amenities. On the first floor, the festive decors in the lounge and reception area imbibed the Christmas spirit. There’s a passage going to the pool area, the deck, garden, and also a straight walk-in to Misto, their in-house restaurant that serves international dishes and local favorites, with healthy recipes that suit the eco-friendly setting.

The pool for now can only accommodate up to 12 guests at a time, since they’re still somewhat practicing the social distancing regulation. If you want to use the pool, better book or schedule it prior your stay. On the second floor, they have a fitness center (gym) which limits up to three concurrent users. There’s also a mini gallery with paintings and other artworks on the same floor.

The elevator needs the hotel room key card scanned as a pass, so guests can only go to or access the floor they’re on. We stayed in a twin deluxe room (PhP 3,500+ per night), with two beds, a stunning view to a lake, a sturdy work table, a roomy closet, refrigerator and a mini bar, LED TV, safe box, air conditioning, free and reliable Wi-Fi connection, and a decent bathroom complete with the usual toiletries expected from a nice hotel. The bathroom has a hot/cold shower facility and a hairdryer along with bathrobes and slippers. Overall, I like that the room was clean and neat.

I was looking forward to having a buffet breakfast (I miss buffet breakfast in hotels!), but instead we were given complimentary a la carte breakfast options at Misto. It was okay. My husband chose pork adobo with rice and I got roasted chicken. Servers were kind and attentive. After breakfast, it was fun just to walk to Solenad shopping mall nearby.

Seda Nuvali – Staycation Hotel is popular with guests booking family stays. Room options are deluxe twin room, club double room (1 king bed or 2 twin beds), and premier double room (1 king bed). Check-in time is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is until 12:00 PM. If you feel like wanting to have an easy escape or a quick getaway from the city without stressing over Tagaytay traffic, Nuvali in Sta. Rosa Laguna is a great choice and Seda Nuvali is a fine, modest and modern hotel I recommend with high marks! 🙂

Here are some more of our raw photos. No time to edit anymore. 😉

  • Taking Close-Up Photos of Eyes – 3 Easy Steps

Taking Close-Up Photos of Eyes – 3 Easy Steps

Taking a photo of your eyes – or anyone else’s – is no easy task. We’re sure you’ve probably already tried at some point in your life and failed, but hey! Others have done it too, there’s no way you can’t.

Good news is that the world of photography is advanced and ever improving – you can now take amazing professional level photos just from your phone. This also means that there’s no better time for you to try your hand at close-up photography than now.

It’s as easy as taking a shot with the right settings and then posting it online using selfie captions from Facetune2. All you need is your phone camera, a steady hand, and the right knowledge. Let’s get into it.

    1. The Equipment

Thanks to great mobile photography technology, you won’t really need a lot of extra equipment to take a photo of the eyes, but you will need to make sure that whatever you have can deliver the quality you want.

In case you think the camera itself isn’t enough, you can invest in macro lens attachments for your phone camera. You might also need some lighting equipment and a tripod if you want some really professional level photos.

While the macro lens will help ensure great quality photos of the eyes, the tripod will help you keep your camera still.

This is important because the eyes have a tendency to move all over the place to focus on a scene, and this can be a huge problem if you’re asking the subject to look straight into the camera. Any minor movement that wouldn’t have originally mattered will have the eyes moving to keep the focus on the camera, which in turn will result in blurred photos.

    2. The Light

There are several ways to handle the lighting of a photograph like this, from natural light to strobes. What you choose depends on how much experience you have with this kind of photography and what results you want.

Natural light is of course almost always the best choice, but it won’t help if you want the light to be falling straight into the subject’s eyes – we don’t think standing out in the sun or looking directly at it is easy or suggestible. On the other hand, some soft lighting in a room in the afternoon or at sunset can bring out some amazing colors in someone’s eyes.

On the other hand, soft artificial light is available all the time and can be better controlled – your shoot won’t suffer for any rainy days and cloudy weather. It might be more damaging to the eyes though, and they might get red which is why frequent breaks are essential.

Strobes and flashes are the trickiest when it comes to photographing the eyes. This is because we have a tendency to blink or close our eyes when faced with bright and flashy lighting, and with good reason.

    3. The Pose and Position

If you want an interesting photo, you can ask your subject to focus on something far away and try different angles. Posing and the position doesn’t really matter much in other cases, since there aren’t too many poses you can make with your eyes! All you need to care about is making sure the light brings out the irises just right, and that you’re using the right camera settings.

If your subject has trouble keeping their eyes still, you can try the burst shot feature that is common in many phones. You can even try taking a photo of both the eyes in an HDR shot.

While taking the photo with a phone, you also need to make sure it focuses right – but you can easily do that by clicking on the spot in the photo you want you camera to focus on. In this case, the irises.

  • Two Little Ducks Organic and Biodegradable Disinfecting Products

Two Little Ducks Organic and Biodegradable Disinfecting Products

While cleaning may not be your favorite pastime, a few minutes spent disinfecting areas at home and in the workplace can go a long way to keep everyone safe and healthy. We’re fortunate to have helpers at home who routinely clean the surfaces like floors, walls, windows, tables, counters, etc. and sanitize items we mostly often use at least every other two days.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in 2020, antibacterial and organic disinfecting wipes have become even more popular, with an increasing number of homes and organizations utilizing them to maintain their premises free of bacteria and viruses. Recently, I came across Two Little Ducks on Instagram and found their products interesting. They sell pure water wipes made out of 99.9% hospital-grade water (the remaining 0.1% are natural preservatives). These are not only safe for babies but also great for general home use. Here are other reasons why you should check out their brand, too.

Two Little Ducks Products for Babies and Parents On the Go

    1. Biodegradable

The biodegradable and flushable qualities of wipes have recently been established as a benefit of antibacterial wipes. Versus traditional wipes that are often made out of fabric and plastic binders, Two Little Ducks’ pure water wipes are made of 100% renewable fiber. This means that they don’t shed down and find their way into marine environment and human food chains. These eco-friendly wipes can be easily disposed of without causing any harm to the environment. The superb flushable feature also means that the surface disinfectant wipes can be flushed without the worry of your toilets or pipes becoming blocked as they now contain the right properties to be flushable.

    2. Organic

These wipes are efficient in cleaning surfaces for sure, but another thing that made me say yes to using “baby water wipes” is that they’re made of organic ingredients. These wipes do not contain harsh chemicals including endocrine-disrupting phthalates and parabens. The extracts are certified organic by EcoCert and they’re also hypoallergenic, suitable for baby’s skin.

    3. Multi-Use

These wipes are perfect for diaper changes and cleaning up messes of a growing, exploring baby. Aside from that, they can be used to clean down kitchen surfaces, knobs, pet areas, toilets, packages, work desks or just wiping your hands and even wood and clothes. They work as well as disinfectant wipes for cleaning down dirty surfaces as they do not leave behind any residue such as grease or grime after use. This will leave your surfaces much cleaner and free from micro-organisms.

    4. Easy to Use and Carry Anywhere

Two Little Ducks’ disinfecting wipes also have the advantage of being simple and quick to use. Using surface disinfectant wipes, whether you’re wiping down work surfaces after a long day at the office or cleaning kitchen counters, you’ll be able to get the job done quickly and efficiently. These wipes are also simple to store and transport, allowing them to be utilized at any time and in any location.

As the quarantine period drags on, are you scouring the house (or the internet) for cleaning solutions? Make sure the disinfectant or antibacterial wipes you’re using are the real deal before you start wiping surfaces with them. Two Little Ducks quality products offer a peace of mind for the little ones and also for adults.

These disinfecting wipes are proven safe on hands and skin in a March 2020 SGS Test Report and also safe to use on multiple surfaces. Still, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), washing your hands with soap and water regularly is  one of the best ways to defend against COVID-19. Practicing social distancing and good personal hygiene are also as important.
