April 5, 2014—Just before heading to Intramuros, Manila for the Outbreak Mission: Operation Stronghold event, I went to the 10th Manila Automobile International Show (MIAS) in World Trade Center. Car enthusiasts all flocked to check out the latest automobiles manufactured by the biggest brands in terms of development and innovation. Overall, the exhibition was a pretty solid representation of vehicular awesomeness!
Aside from modern and retro cars, motorbikes, e-bikes and car accessories, the 10th Manila Automobile International Show also featured technical gadgets and hot products newly released in the market. Some of those I liked were: Garmin watches which can track distance, speed, pace and calories and also record the paths traveled with its GPS navigation (I really want one!); Dyson’s blade-less ring fan (super cool); carNAVi (Philippines GPS car navigation); and the URATEX Mobile Sleep Solution.
Uratex: Present in MIAS 2014
Those of us who are familiar with Mercato Centrale have had front row seats to the mobile truck phenomenon. Nowadays, it’s not only the food establishments that “push their carts” to wherever their wheels take them. Uratex as an Automotive Foam Supplier
After visiting the “URATEX Mobile Sleep Solution” booth, I found myself in a maze inside the World Trade Center. My feet then led me to another Uratex booth where I found out that Uratex also offers multi-color and multi-shape-designed upholstery for car seats, seat covers, and motorcycle saddles. Wow! Really, it feels great to learn something new every day.
Depending on preference and budget, Uratex seat covers can be selected as either ready-made or custom-made for the vehicle. The more expensive option is the customized covers since it’s designed to the car’s exact fit (including year and make). There’s also the semi-custom covers that fit general vehicles but not necessarily match the specific year, make and model of the car. However, these are still unlike the universal seat covers which have a universal fit regardless of the vehicle’s type, year, make and model.

Hehe. I really try to maximize my time during weekends hopping on one event to another. 🙂 Actually, it was my first time to go to the MIAS and I was alone. I wasn’t a car enthusiast before until I got my own car when I started comparing different specifications.
It does help being in auto shows specially when you are new in the car industry.

I think there are new foaming technologies that makes car/bus seats much more comfortable.
Sitting on a comfortable foam makes long-hour traveling a bit more bearable.

Yeah. I’ve always been in awe of how Uratex really tries to keep moving forward and be the leader in latest technological advancements. I mean, when you come to think of it simply, mattresses and foams aren’t very techy things at all. But Uratex still studies the science and technology behind to make sure that their products are produced with a high degree of product superiority and world class quality.
Now this is an interesting event for summer! Uratex is one of the anticipating automobile I’ve seen this year in the Philippines.
I tried sitting on the sample Uratex foam on the automobile seat and didn’t notice any difference though. So I’m quite intrigued and interested also on what sets it apart from the regular or original seats.

I remember when I was a kid I was so excited to see mobile showroom of several products of a noted company in the country. Now, in this modern world of technology, this kind showroom on wheels is being revived or shall we say reincarnated. This mood of advertising gets more attraction from a far-flung or remotes areas.
Yup. I must say it’s one of the most competitive ways of advertising a business or event.
I never really knew they are the top brand for mattresses here in PH – will check them out the next time we need to buy one!

We trust uratex too. Most of our bed foams are made in Uratex and so are our sofa sets.
Uratex also has sofa beds. What’s good about their products is that most are already sanitized to keep them fresh and protected from germs and dust-mites.

Prices depend on the foam size. For instance, Uratex with Thin Cotton Mattress 4″ x 36″ 75″ costs Php 2,199.75; 4″ x 54″ 75″, Php 3,499.75; and 6″ x 60″ 75″, Php 5,299.75. Each type of mattress has a lot of sizes. It’s best to check the Uratex website for the list or contact the showroom or store itself.
